The defeated enemy in the face of Azerbaijan's leadership is now trying
to create an illusion of a continuing fight for Artsakh in the eyes of its own
people, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said at the 10th Congress of the
Union of Volunteers Yerkrapah, on 15 February.
"Actually, Azerbaijan has neither strength nor
ability to conduct military actions. It just regularly fires at our villages
and positions killing our soldiers. It is nothing but murders," the Armenian
leader said. Murders are the last
arguments of the discussion, the president said and spotlighted that
Armenophobia has been developed into a national ideology in Azerbaijan. It has
become a synonym to patriotism in Azerbaijan, he said.
The president recalled that yet in 90s of the last
century, the regularly replacing each other defense ministers of Azerbaijan
used to say that they would 'enjoy tea' in Stepanakert, but ailed. President Sargsyan said that the Karabakh
conflict has been resolved for the Armenian people once and forever.
"We know that the enemy
will not get off our back in the foreseeable future, given Baku's unwillingness
to withdraw its snipers from the line of contact. However, Artsakh did its
choice and many international organizations have said in their reports that the
Artsakh Republic leaves Azerbaijan behind in many aspects of development. The
regime in Baku is sure that if we do not conceal our losses, we are weak. Meanwhile,
our borders are guarded by young men, and many of them are below 20. They are
your worthy successors and they do their mission even better then you did, take
it in good part," the president said addressing the members of Yerkrapah
Union.
