ArmInfo. The SCAT airline promises to resume the full flight schedule from July 15 this year, after receiving two aircraft, which are still in Turkey, informburo.kz informs with reference to the Civil Aviation Committee.
Moreover, the airline tried to explain the reason for the 15-hour delay in the flight from Astana to Yerevan and the non-accommodation of passengers in the hotel: "The reason for the delay in the flight Astana- Yerevan was the replacement of the aircraft." Due to the fact that passengers of this flight at the time of making the decision had already passed customs and border and were in a secure zone, they could not be accommodated at the hotel .The representatives of the airline provided refreshments and hot meals directly to the passengers". SCAT also added that every passenger has the right to apply to the airline for compensation and the application will be considered by the legal department, compensations are made in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As ArmInfo informed earlier passengers of the Astana-Yerevan flight by "Skat airline spent more than 15 hours in the departure zone of the international airport "Nursultan Nazarbayev". The representatives of the company for the first three hours did not give any information at all, and later they were not able to give a clear answer about when the situation would be resolved. Despite the constant postponement of the departure time, the airline did not provide the passengers with hotel rooms, as it is supposed in this situation. Among the passengers there were many young children, old people, disabled people who were unable to spend such a long time without sleep and proper conditions. ArmInfo also informed that Armenian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ara Sahakyan has already sent an official letter to the chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lestaev Talgat, in which he drew the agency's attention to the inadmissibility of such a situation. He also noted that for several months the airline "Scat" constantly, under different pretexts, is carrying out the flight Astana-Yerevan- Astana through Aktobu, which causes a lot of trouble to the passengers.
According to statistics by June 22, SCAT airline for the five months of 2018 performed 8,550 flights, of which 1,367 - with delay. The commercial director of the airline Nikolai Buryakov noted that the massive delays are caused by the fact that two aircraft were delayed for maintenance.
