 A petition has been posted on Change.org, which demands banning the Russian military hardware supply to Azerbaijan. The document is addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.  

The authors of the petition recall that on April 2 the armed forces of Azerbaijan attacked the Karabakh positions along the entire line of contact, using all types of weapons - tanks, artillery and air force. The four-day war left dozens of soldiers dead on both sides and also killed civilians, including elderly people, women and children.  

It was absolutely outrageous that the aggressor used the offensive weapons acquired from Russia, including Mi-25 helicopters, T-90 and T-72 tanks, Solntsepyok, Grad and Smerch multiple rocket launchers. 

The document says that Azerbaijan has never concealed its aggressive intentions regarding Karabakh, its senior officials have been intensifying their aggressive rhetoric and revanchism. However, Russia acts as if it does not notice the obvious. Russia is generously supplying the Baku authorities with expensive offensive weapons. "Does anyone doubt whom these weapons are used against?" the document says. 

It should be noted that Armenia is the guarantor of defense of its compatriots in Karabakh and at the same time it is the only ally of Russia in the region, as well as a member of the CSTO and the EEU. That is to say, Russia is arming the enemy of its only ally in the region under the guise of excuses like 'nothing personal, just business'. The petition authors qualify the Russian arms supply to Azerbaijan as an immoral business. 

The document says that millions of Armenians - citizens of Russia - demand that Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and other Russian officials should stop supplying arms to the aggressor and should stop making money on the blood of their own allies. 

"We demand canceling the previously signed contracts on weapons supply to Azerbaijan as the aggressor party. We demand banning the sale of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan", the petition says.

To note, one more petition has been posted on Change.org - a joint appeal of the Nagorno Karabakh and Armenian non-governmental organizations and mass media representatives to the European Parliament.  The document demands condemning Azerbaijani atrocities and restoring the status of the NKR as a party to the negotiations.
