ArmInfo. The co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Armenia, Yulia Lyovochkina and Andrej Sircelj expect from the authorities tangible results of fighting corruption, they stated this in the joint statement after completing their visit to Yerevan from March 12 to 14.
"The Armenian authorities are well aware that the people have extremely high expectations from the revolution, therefore it is important that the reforms being implemented now lead to concrete and tangible results," the statement reads. The co-rapporteurs, who visited Armenia on a fact-finding mission, state that the extraordinary parliamentary elections held in December last year were free and fair. The authors of the statement also welcome the corruption struggle held by the government, and expect to see tangible results in this direction.
