ArmInfo. The proposal of the Prosperous Armenia MP Gevorg Petrosyan on making amendments to the Labor Code was criticized by colleagues from the ruling "My Step" bloc. For example, Petrosyan proposes amendments to the Labor Code to dismiss an employee if he does not come to work without a good reason for at least one day. If he is physically present at work, but does not work, then, in the opinion of the deputy, he should be dismissed after three comments.
Petrosyan presented his proposals for the Labor Code at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on health and social issues. In turn, a member of the commission from the faction of the My Step block, Lusine Badalyan, stated that the draft law is a real sword of Damocles over the heads of the working people and protects only the interests of the employer.
To which Petrosyan replied that it is illogical for an employer to get rid of a good employee. As a result, a verbal exchange began between Petrosyan and members of the My Step block, who gave a negative assessment to the document. Previously, the government gave a negative assessment to the project. Nevertheless, the bill will be considered at the plenary session of the parliament.
