ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received the delegation headed by Lawrence Meredith, Director for Neighbourhood East at the European Commission.
The delegation included high-ranking officials from international financial institutions. Welcoming the guests, Avinyan said that the meeting provides a good opportunity to continue discussions around the recent agreements reached during the visit of the Armenian Prime Minister to Brussels, in particular, to consider the possibility of implementing joint projects in the energy and other infrastructure fields.
In turn, Lawrence Meredith noted that the delegation arrived in Armenia to get acquainted with the government's programs and to find out what support the European Union and international financial institutions can provide in the process of implementing the reforms.
The meeting participants agreed that energy efficiency in Armenia has significant potential, and in this context they discussed issues related to legislative reforms, as well as issues related to attracting investments and financial resources.
