ArmInfo.Reduction of jobs at the first stage of optimization of the Government is not expected. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan announced this on March  18 in a conversation with journalists.

To note, as a result of the change in the structure of the Cabinet of  Ministers of Armenia from 17 ministries, it is planned to leave 12.  As Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren  Papikyan stated earlier, regional administrations expect a reduction  of 30%. At the same time, earlier in the parliament, Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan noted that in the system of state administration in  the short term, reductions will be minimal. According to him, the  cuts will be from the ministries, whose functions are duplicated. As  for employees from non-duplicating structures, then, according to the  head of the government, they are not threatened with reductions  today. "Everyone, without exception, will get a chance to prove that  in these conditions he is ready and able to work in accordance with  the new requirements," he assured.

Meanwhile, in early March of this year Former Deputy Speaker of the  National Assembly of Armenia, former Justice Minister Arpine  Hovhannisyan published an official document on her Facebook page - a  letter addressed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on behalf of  Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Finance Minister Atom  Janjughazyan, which refers to the proposed reduction 10,000 civil  servants. As noted, the authors of the document as a justification  for the mass cuts of state officials cite the following argument:  "Even if 10,000 civil servants who do not bring additional product to  the country (result, value - ed) will become unemployed, the Armenian  statehood and the entire public will benefit from it. about 3 million  citizens of Armenia. " In response, Armenian Finance Minister Atom  Janjughazyan stated that the document does not indicate specific  figures on the proposed reductions, and 10 thousand is a conditional  number. "The formulation only concerns the fact that even if we are  talking about such a possible outcome, you still need to compare this  number with the number of those who can win in this situation when  this conditional number suffers. Moreover, the word" suffer "is taken  in brackets. This, in our opinion, cannot concern those who create  the product ", - explained the head of the Ministry of Finance. "We  are trying to achieve the best result with the available  opportunities.
