According to the Azerbaijani media.az, in connection with the publications of Armenian media, the State Border Service reports that on the night of March 16, a violation of the state border by an unknown person from the territory of Azerbaijan was recorded. "This unknown is a resident of the village of Salakhly, Gazakh region, Elvin Arif oglu Ibrahimov, born in 1986. The investigation revealed that he suffers from mental disorder and is a disabled person of group II," reports the Service.
Earlier, ArmInfo reported that a citizen of Azerbaijan was neutralized during an attempt to illegally cross the border of Armenia. According to the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page, on March 16, at about 01:30, in the northeast direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, at the defense station of the N-th military unit, the Armenian Armed Forces detected warned and when the latter disobeyed the warning neutralized an unknown person, violating the state border. The man, after receiving a gunshot wound to the lower extremity area, was given first aid, then he was transferred to a health facility. "It follows from the documents found with him that the violator is a resident of the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan, Alvin Arif Oglu Ibrahimov (born in 1986). A criminal case has been initiated in the investigation department of the National Security Service of Armenia, a preliminary investigation is being conducted," Hovhannisyan said.
