ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia does not intend to monitor the fulfillment by show business representatives of their obligations to declare income. This was announced on February 25 during a video press conference organized by Radio Azatutiun by the Chairman of the SRC David Ananyan.
"We leave everything on the conscience of representatives of culture and art," the head of the department noted, at the same time calling on show business to declare their income. "They should do it honestly, but we are not going to control them," the head of the department stressed. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility in the future to consider the issue with the declaration of income of those who "order the music."Earlier, SRC Chairman David Ananyan called on cultural workers and representatives of show business to submit an annual income tax return by mid-March. According to Ananyan, there are no privileged tax issues.However, as of today, none of the representatives of show business has yet responded to the September appeal of the SRC to faithfully fulfill their tax obligations. In this regard, according to Ananyan, at present, tax inspectors are conducting ongoing inspections, including visiting restaurants and leisure facilities, and urging that speeches of representatives of show business be recorded in the prescribed manner. David Ananyan expressed the hope that before the deadline - mid-March of this year. taxpayers in the face of representatives of show business still have time to declare their income.As early as September 10, 2018, at the meeting with journalists the head of the SRC David Ananyan declared that in the sphere of culture "perfectly" formed culture of tax evasion.
"For example, we have loved singers, they write and perform patriotic songs, but stillSome of them have not yet submitted an annual income declaration, "said the chairman of the SRC, stressing that this imperative has been in effect for about 25 years.Already in December of last year, the SRC made a statement in which it called on representatives of show business engaged in entrepreneurial activity to declare their income. Otherwise, the tax authority reminded that illegal business activities could lead to criminal liability.
