ArmInfo. One of the main questions that is in the air today is whether an economic revolution is possible in Armenia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this on February 23 in Vanadzor during the "My step in the name of Lori region" business forum.
He noted that another question is whether the government and the people of Armenia can achieve a result that is considered to be an economic miracle. "The answer to this question is obvious: the people who were able to carry out a political miracle are capable of an economic miracle, and this issue is within our means. The economic revolution is one of our top priorities, but we need to understand what parameters are necessary for it, these are new jobs, a new level of income, a new level of welfare. And who creates all this? Who is the author of the result in the economy? The person is the author, and we want to encourage people to create something within their opportunities, "Pashinyan stressed.
The Prime Minister said that people will also be inspired by his words. "Unfortunately, in our reality, the value of the word is often underestimated. But we will act not only with words. Our next important step is to create opportunities for real economic activity through reforms - the elimination of monopolies in the economy, corruption and legislative reforms," the Premier said.
Pashinyan admitted that to achieve all this is quite difficult. "In the end, the corruption system in the economy still harbors certain hopes than the system of free competition. For example, if the share of business is held by a high-ranking official or this business is under the auspices of one or another high- ranking official, responsibility is shared here. And if the general business to threaten something, he can order the tax not to deal with them and not pay taxes. Or, if an uncomfortable opponent has appeared, he can be put out of action. A new situation is different The fact that for all people the conditions for entrepreneurship will be equal, and no one can share responsibility for their business with people in power. A person should know that all responsibility lies with him, that no government body will artificially create obstacles in development his business, " Pashinyan said. According to the Prime Minister, following the results of the economic revolution, responsibility can be borne only by courageous businessmen who are confident in their creative talent, hard work, honesty and integrity and know that they are winners. The motto of our economic revolution is "Stop sitting at home, now we will stand and walk," concluded Pashinyan.
