ArmInfo. The Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia thinks that the threats against him and the Prime Minister will never disappear. He expressed this opinion on February 21 in an interview with journalists.
According to him, these threats will never be neutralized. "If this happens, the State Security Service, which ensures the safety of high-ranking officials, will cease to operate as part of the National Security Service of Armenia," Artur Vanetsyan stated. As the head of the National Security Service noted, these threats are permanent in nature, sometimes there are more threats, sometimes less, but in general they always exist.
Earlier, on September 11, 2018, after publicizing the well-known "wiretapping" of a telephone conversation between the heads of the National Security Service and the Special Investigative Service, Artur Vanetsyan stated at a press conference that he was afraid for the safety of his relatives. According to him, after he headed the National Security Service, the lives of his relatives changed dramatically. The sons of the Head of the National Security Service, unlike their peers, cannot go out and play with them. He stressed that the special and investigative bodies today are confronted by a very powerful system of former corrupt officials who have enormous resources and are ready for anything to avoid punishment.
