ArmInfo.The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia revealed another case of abuse of authority by an official.
According to the report of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, thanks to the measures taken by the staff of the department, a case of illegal crossing of the protected state border was revealed with the complicity of an official, accompanied by the official's abuse of his obligations. "In the course of the investigations carried out in the framework of the criminal case initiated under Part 1 of Article 308 and Part 1 of Article 329 of the RA Criminal Code, it turned out that the chief inspector of the border control department of Gogavan of the border forces of the National Security Service G. P. on July20 of 2018, did not fulfill his official obligations to exercise control over the crossing of the state border by citizens and vehicles that he was endowed with. In particular, G. P., incited by his acquaintances N. A., proceeding from personal interests, did not fulfill his obligations and did not stop the illegal crossing of the state border by citizen A. Kh., Who was hiding in Toyota cars with state numbers 05 PL 050, and thus contributed to the illegal suppression of the state border, "it is said in the RA NSS statement.
The Ministry also reported that G.P. was charged on grounds of part 1 of article 308 of the RA Criminal Code and Part 1 of Art. 38-329 of the RA Criminal Code (abusing official obligations and facilitating illegal crossing of the state border). "G.P. pleaded guilty and confessed. N.A. was charged on the grounds of part 1 of article 38-308 of the RA Criminal Code and part 1 of article 38-329 of the RA Criminal Code. - iNational Security Service of the Republic of Armenia noted. -sh-
The department also informed that today measures are being taken to identify the location of the violator of the state border.
