ArmInfo. Head of the state control service under the Prime Minister of Armenia David Sanasaryan expressed doubts about the legitimacy of the pemial issues issued to state sector employees in 2018.
In an interview with journalists after the government meeting, Sanasaryan informed that the State Service had studied this topic. "We fixed risks in some state structures, in particular, in the State Revenue Committee, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, in connection with which they began research there and handed them over to the leadership of these departments. After receiving the answers, we will present our analysis to the Prime Minister," Sanasaryan said. David Sanasaryan answered the question of ArmInfo that the Service sees problems with the legitimacy of the paid premiums.
To note, by the end of the year large premiums issued in state structures caused a public outcry: people complained that against the background of low salaries in the republic, state officials themselves issued large bonuses, and this taking into account that many of them worked for only a few months and did not have time to show the result.
In the meantime, there is a legislative imperative, requiring that the issue of bonuses adhere to a 6-month period. The largest awards were given to the SRC and the Ministry of Finance they reached from 2 to 9 million drams. It is noteworthy that among the winners were the press secretaries, secretaries, and assistants. In this connection, closed discussions took place in the ruling My Step bloc .
For an explanation of the sensational premiums, the heads of the SRC and the Ministry of Finance of Armenia were invited to the parliament, who assured that the premiums paid were strictly within the law. "We have fixed problems, and this year the SRC bonus fund will be reduced by half. In general, all government agencies will receive a bonus fund of 30%," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after discussion.
