ArmInfo.Owners of right-hand drive cars purchased before December 30, 2018 will be able to introduce their vehicles into the territory of Armenia before April 1, 2019. Amendments to the "On the temporary ban on the import of right-hand drive cars" law were approved at a government meeting on February 15.
Presenting the draft amendments, the Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan noted that it is about 830 cars accumulated in the customs zone of the Bagratashen checkpoint. Immediately after the adoption of the bill by the parliament of the country, the government will make changes to its own regulations, after which the import of vehicles will be possible. The minister added that the document was developed following the results of numerous discussions between interested government bodies and representatives of the Right-Hand Drive initiative.
