ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
According to the press service of the government of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Saad Hariri on the formation of the new government of Lebanon and reappointment to the post of prime minister of the country.
The RA Prime Minister wished Saad Hariri and his team members success in his important mission, expressing confidence that under the leadership of Hariri new government will lead the country to development and economic progress.
The interlocutors noted the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two countries. An agreement was reached on holding a meeting of the Armenian-Lebanese intergovernmental commission in April of this year.
To recall, on January 31 of this year Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced the formation of a new cabinet in Lebanon, after 8 months and 6 days of uncertainty. The cabinet includes 4 women. "I am grateful to everyone who has made efforts to achieve our common goal. We have a big agenda ahead, we need to protect the economy and the interests of the people," said Hariri, speaking at a press conference after meeting with Lebanon President Michel Aoun.
