ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received yesterday the Head of South Caucasus Office of the French Development Agency Gaelle Assayag and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Jonathan Lacote.
According to the press service of the RA government, during the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of developing and deepening cooperation with France, including in the implementation of government reform programs. He presented the main provisions of the government program, pointing out the possibilities for developing bilateral relations in the framework of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with the European Union. .
The French Ambassador stressed that Paris is ready to develop cooperation with Armenia both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Recalling the recent statement by French President Emmanuel Macron about his intention to visit Yerevan, the diplomat noted that this visit would also contribute to clarifying the further expansion of bilateral programs. The head of the regional representative office of the French Development Agency presented the process of reforms implemented in Armenia, as well as voiced the organization's readiness to develop new programs in the future that are consonant with the reforms being carried out by the authorities of the country.
