ArmInfo. Yerevan Foil-Rolling Plant ARMENAL and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) concluded an agreement on cooperation in the training of technical specialists. General Director Artur Zakaryan of RUSAL ARMENAL CJSC and NPUA Rector Vostanik Marukhyan signed the document.
For its part, ARMENAL is ready, in the light of vacancies, to provide NPUA graduates with the jobs specified in the contract. For students, the plant organizes industrial and pre-diploma practice, will provide experienced engineers who will lead term papers and graduation projects.
"The term of our contract is 5 years with the possibility of prolongation," said General Director of RUSAL ARMENAL CJSC Arthur Zakaryan, This document became a logical continuation of the agreement between the Polytechnic University and ARMENAL, concluded in June 2002 and became the basis for fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation of the plant with a leading technical university of the republic.
To recall, earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, on his Facebook page, noted that one of the most important processes in Armenia in recent months was the tendency to revive vocational education. "Dozens of private companies, with the mediation and support of the government, conclude contracts with state educational institutions on training for them," he wrote. Thus, according to the Prime Minister, the private sector receives a specific interest in making investments in the educational system: providing material and technical assistance to educational institutions so that they train the personnel needed by these companies. As Pashinyan explained, this means that, at a minimum, most graduates will have a guaranteed job. "Most pleased is that this process is also going on in the regions. About two dozen contracts have already been concluded in the fields of textiles, tourism, food industry, design and other industries. About a dozen more contracts are expected to be signed in the near future," - he said.
