ArmInfo.On February 12, the National Assembly of Armenia will consider the program and structure of the government of the republic.
As the press service of the Prime Minister's Office reported earlier, instead of the 18 ministries that had previously acted, there will now be 12 departments:
1. Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2. Ministry of Defense 3. Ministry of Emergency Situations 4. Ministry of Justice 5. Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs 6. Ministry of Education, Science and Culture 7. Ministry of Nature Protection 8. Ministry of Healthcare 9. Ministry of Finance 10. Ministry of Economy 11. Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures 12. Ministry of High Technology Industry
On February 8, at an extraordinary meeting, the government approved the program of its activities for the next 5 years. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashin then noted that the program fully complies with the conceptual views of the Cabinet. The Prime Minister recalled that the executive branch proclaimed the concept of an economic revolution and this program gives it a start. "I want us to clearly state that the government considers itself an organizer of the process, whose main mission is to create opportunities for individuals and legal entities," he said. The Head of Government assured that the Cabinet would do everything to make these opportunities real, tangible , not declarative. It is also expected that a package of tax changes and then the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia will be submitted to the legislative body for consideration. Presenting the draft document, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stressed that over the next five years the government's activities will be focused on the development of high technologies, industry, and the formation of an economy based on high environmental standards aimed at exporting competitive and innovative products.
