ArmInfo. There will be 12 ministries in Armenia, and the post of Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs will be formed in the office of the prime minister. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page after discussions on the restructuring of the government.
The Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, as Pashinyan explained, will be the representative of the head of government in relations with the Diaspora. "He will also regulate the work of the government in the Diaspora relationship on behalf of the Prime Minister," the Premier said.
To note, the Ministry of Diaspora is one of those departments that are supposed to be abolished as part of the reform structures in the government.
