ArmInfo. We have extremely positive signals in connection with the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enlarged Partnership Agreement (CEPA - Ed.) Between Armenia and the European Union from the EU member states. On February 8, chairman of the standing commission on European integration issues Arman Yeghoyan stated this in an interview with journalists.
"Of the 28 countries, 10 have already ratified this agreement, in some countries the agreement is already in parliaments, in some this process is in operation. In a word, I don't see any negative prerequisites on this issue, and head of the EU delegation in Armenia Piotr Switsalski also stated this ", - said Yeghoyan, adding that this month should receive a road map from European partners and the implementation of the agreement will begin.
As for the process of liberalization of the visa regime with the European Union, Yeghoyan stressed that he slowed down for a number of objective reasons: "In particular, elections to the European Parliament are to be held in May," said the head of the commission.
To the remark that the previous authorities of Armenia provided for two years for the process of visa liberalization, the MP replied: "I can't mark a clear deadline, as it will be associated with a number of factors that I cannot predict right now. No one can say how fast the process will progress after the elections of the European Parliament, or how fast we will be able to implement the relevant reforms. "
