ArmInfo. The areas of information technology and the military- industrial complex are priorities in the new program of the Government of Armenia. Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia, told reporters on February 8 after a government meeting.
According to the minister, these areas will develop at a revolutionary pace. To promote these areas, a new ministry of high-tech industry will be created on the basis of the current Ministry of Transport. In particular, as the minister said, significant growth will be recorded in the scientific, technical and research field through the military-industrial complex. "Speaking of the military-industrial complex, many people have a misunderstanding - they usually represent tanks and guns, but I want to say that in the modern world the rules of warfare have changed and, along with the old technologies, electronic, information weapons, drones, communications equipment, radar tools, strike and so on, "Arshakyan explained.
In general, he said, the development of technologies in the military-industrial complex led to increased efficiency with the use of smaller resources. "When introducing technologies, it is possible to implement the concept of" multiplying the efficiency of a unit, "when one achieves superiority over the enemy on the battlefield at the expense of quality, not quantity," he said. Referring to the allegations that the program of the five-year Cabinet does not reflect digital indicators, Arshakyan noted that the figures were discussed and presented. In what format they will or will not be published, at this stage he abstained to indicate. In general, as Arshakyan stressed, the program can be characterized as an initiative, and able to take risks and be responsible for its implementation. "I urge the document to look not for numbers, but for specific theses on the vision of the Armenian government regarding the further development of the country," he concluded. At the same time, speaking of measurable results laid down in the government's program, Hakob Arashkyan said that it was planned to create a strategic sales team within the ministry. The team's activities will focus on building a portfolio of products, services, and research capabilities, and will engage in direct "trade" and technology exchange with foreign partners.
"For example, we have" ArMath "laboratories, the concept of which Armenia" sells "to other countries in the same conceptual content. That is, educational models and equipment of laboratories are sold directly from Armenia",- He said, calling this approach revolutionary, when the state undertakes to represent companies in foreign markets. Similar work is expected in the military-industrial complex.
