ArmInfo. Former Deputy Head of the Internal Troops of the Armenian Police, Levon Yeranosyan, is accused of abusing his official position. According to the materials of the Investigation Committee of Armenia, from 2013 to 2018, on behalf of Yeranosyan, agreements on the provision of services for organizing the rest of a number of internal troops serving as part of the state social package were concluded with specific tour operators, representatives of which were visited by special units for this purpose.
Despite the fact that each contract was signed in the amount of 72 thousand drams, in fact, a number of employees were provided services in the amount of 52 thousand drams, and some of them did not use their social package at all.
On January 18, 2019, a decision was made to open a criminal case against Yeranosyan under Article 309 of the Criminal Code in connection with the latter's abuse of office. In accordance with the requirement of the law, the case was sent to the Special Investigation Service of Armenia.
