ArmInfo. We are very far from democracy and a free, independent judiciary. Representative of the Bureau Hrant Margaryan stated this in Artsakh during the 33rd Dashnaktsutyun General Assembly.
He noted that during the parliamentary elections the power of political power was formed, which subordinated the legislative and executive systems, as well as put pressure on the media. "The principle of the parliamentary system of government, the balance of forces and the principle of accountability are violated," Margaryan stressed.
A representative of the ARF Bureau also said that the authorities do not reflect the mood of the popular movement and cannot solve the problems in the name of which the movement began. "With its inexperience, irregular form of government and low-quality personnel, the government can discard the development of the country several years ago," he said.
Hrant Margaryan noted that representatives of the Dashnaktsutyun party continue to remain with the people and will not allow the government and parliament to make irreparable mistakes. "In the course of the next elections, we will send the current government home and take over the leadership of the country," Margaryan said.
Touching on foreign policy, he noted that deteriorated relations between Russia and Armenia, as well as Armenia and Iran, indicate that after the change of power, Yerevan lost its foreign policy strategy, while Russia and Iran are supporters of maintaining the status quo in Karabakh therefore; there is no alternative to a quick solution of problems with these states.
The representative of the ARF Bureau noted that the Dashnaktsutyun party regards the events that took place in the spring in Armenia as a national revival, which led to the denial of injustice, rejection of discriminatory policies, bribery, but "some forces used people's discontent for their own purposes".
"The popular movement was beautiful and powerful, but at the same time inevitable. The goals pursued by the leaders of the movement were uncertain for us, but we wanted to believe that such a large wave of people was able to build a powerful country. At the level of Nikol Pashinyan, they assured us that they treat our party with respect; they know well what we are going to do for the coalition. We agreed on five key issues, but soon after that we realized that there was no respect, no loyalty to the agreements, or tolerance for another point of view. In the past and present, and well into the future ARFD is" Hrant Margaryan.
