Just like yesterday, the participants of the action demand to immediately arrest Manvel Grigoryan. "We do not want any meetings with anyone, we want our demands to be fulfilled," the participants of the action said.
To note, the protesters said they intend to block the road. They also noted that, despite the fact that representatives of the police are trying to prevent them from their actions, they understand that the police are doing their job.
To recall, starting from January 11 protests against the court decision on release on bail Manvel Grigoryan resumed in Echmiadzin. Yesterday at 4:00pm demonstrators gathered outside the Criminal Court of Appeal in Yerevan, where the consideration of a petition to change the measure of restraint against the former MP from the previously ruling Republican Party of Armenia, General Manvel Grigoryan, began yesterday.
To recall, the court of general jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan on the evening of December 21 decided to release General Manvel Grigoryan on bail of 25 million drams. He was charged under two articles: illegal circulation of arms and ammunition and the appropriation of food and supplies intended for the Armed Forces. At the end of November, the arrested General appealed to the government, announcing his readiness to transfer to the state the territory of the Ankalich farm that belongs to him in the Aknalich community, costing about 6 billion drams. Lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan urged not to consider this step as an attempt to pay off. After the court issued a decision on the releasing Grigoryan on bail, the inhabitants of Echmiadzin blocked Grigorian's entry into the city, thus expressing his attitude towards him.
