ArmInfo. The Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Armenia has not yet commented on the report about the accusation of former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan in the "March 1" case.
"We do not comment on this information," Marina Ohanjanyan, press secretary of the SIS, told ArmInfo. Meanwhile, according to the media, in the framework of the criminal case on the events of March 1, 2008, Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan was charged under Article 300.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code (overthrowing the constitutional order).
To recall, during the events of March 1-2, 2008, Seyran Ohanyan held the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, and in April he was appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
At present, in the framework of the "March 1 case", charges have been brought against the second president of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, Mikael Harutyunyan, Yuri Khachaturov, Armen Gevorgyan, Samvel Mayrapetyan and Vahagn Harutyunyan.
