This opinion, according to the Iranian Agency IRNA, was expressed by the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Artashes Tumanyan, speaking at the conference "Relations between Iran and Armenia: Opportunities and Outflows" on the eve.The ambassador stated that the recent events in Armenia had no impact on the foreign policy of the country.
Tumanyan expressed Yerevan's interest in the development of Iranian gas imports and in the development of electricity exports. He also expressed hope for an increase in the trade turnover of the two countries in the near future.It should be noted that, according to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover between the countries in January-October amounted to 296.8 million US dollars, with an annual growth of 40.5%. Exports from Armenia totaled 84.3 million dollars (an increase of 24.7%), and imports - 212.5 million dollars (an increase of 48%).
