ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia are conducting an active dialogue in connection with the issue of the implementation of the Russian loan. The Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin stated this on December 18 at a press conference.
The Ambassador noted that he was informed that the dialogue on this issue is very intensive, and cooperation continues, and all the commitments made are being implemented. He also noted that relevant Armenian and Russian organizations were involved in work in this field. Kopirkin noted that now he is not ready especially to go into details. "The thing is that these are strictly confidential issues, and here, including the commercial interests of certain enterprises. I cannot comment on all this now," the ambassador stressed.
To note, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan earlier noted that agreements were signed on the supply of Russian weapons to Yerevan within the framework of a Russian loan of $ 100 million. At the same time, he noted that negotiations on the issue of supplies have not been completed. Also, the Minister of Defense noted that the previous Russian weapons loan for $ 200 million was fully implemented. Currently, production and deliveries are under the second 100 millionth agreement.
