ArmInfo.Acting Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan does not consider the members of the Sasna Tsrer group to be political prisoners. The Acting Minister of Justice announced on December 17 at a press conference.
He noted that several members of the group are accused of murder and this fact is reflected in the law on amnesty. In it, exceptions were made for people accused of murder: "The Republic of Armenia is the guarantor for the right of citizens to life and must ensure the fulfillment of this right. This means that a fair investigation must be made and a fair punishment must be imposed," Zeynalyan said.
Touching on the question of justice in relation to the group, he stressed that the court would give the answer to this question, and people have the right to appeal to the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights - Ed.) "We welcome the decision of the questions in the ECHR," the Acting Minister of Justice added.
