The group specially created by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia received and considered 442 signals of offenses during the parliamentary elections held on December 9 in Armenia.According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, information on 190 cases was obtained as a result of monitoring media publications and records of citizens in social networks.
157 cases were registered in the form of applications of citizens to the Police or the RA Prosecutor's Office, and the rest as a result of reports submitted by the Police.The Prosecutor General's Office reports that in 271 cases, the signals were of a general nature, without specifics, and checks were carried out on them or until they are being carried out.
Of these, 161 cases have already been refuted.Unfounded signals on 165 cases are at the stage of preparing cases according to articlesfull 180-181 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Of these, 113 cases relate to attempts to vote more than once or instead of another person, 4 relate to obstacles to the work of a trustee, 13 obstruct the exercise of the right to vote, 1 case obstructs the exercise of the voter's will, 9 relate to a violation of the secrecy of the vote facts of giving electoral bribes, 3 - the use of fake ballots. In 12 of the 165 cases, a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case.Criminal cases were initiated on 6 prepared materials, of which 2 cases related to an attempt to vote more than 1 time or instead of another person, 2 cases related to a bribe offer, 1 - impeding the execution of the voter's will and 1 - obstructing the work of a trustee.In 4 cases, preliminary investigative actions are carried out by the preliminary investigative service, and in 2 cases by investigators of the RA Investigative Committee.
