Journalists from seven media outlets in Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan arrived in Crimea, where they will meet with representatives of republican ministries and departments, Crimean entrepreneurs, and also will visit the natural, recreational, cultural and infrastructure facilities of the peninsula, TASS was told in the government of the republic.
The Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine in early December reported that it had developed a new entry procedure for foreign journalists in the Crimea, which Kiev continues to consider as its territory. To go to the peninsula through the Ukrainian checkpoints, employees of foreign media will now need special permission. In Crimea, such a decision of the Ukrainian authorities was called "inadequate" and stressed that Russia did not change the rules of work for foreign media employees - they, as before, should receive accreditation from the Russian Foreign Ministry. "Nine journalists arrived. They are now meeting with representatives of the Crimean business," the agency's source said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the press service of the Government of Crimea reported that journalists from economic publications from the member states of the EAEU, namely Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, will visit the republic. Foreign journalists will meet with representatives of Crimean ministries and departments, business representatives and visit the Red Concentration Camp near Simferopol on December 13. On Friday they will visit the Khan's Palace, the Fotisal winery and the Livadia Palace. Ivan Aivazovsky and pass on the Crimean bridge.
