ArmInfo.At the Russian military base in Armenia, the newly arrived military personnel from the drivers of automotive military equipment began to study driving in mountainous and wooded areas in extreme conditions of high mountains.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, driving lessons are conducted both in a single order and as part of motorcade trains at the Kamhud testing ground with overcoming ravines, artificial and natural obstacles, and icy ground sections using standard means of self-pulling in winter mountain-rocky terrain. The servicemen also work out methods of maneuvering, passing routes at minimum and maximum speed along mountainous and rugged roads with large steep ascents and descents, turns and serpentines in conditions of abundant snow cover and ice.
More than 300 servicemen were involved in practical classes in driving vehicles in the South Caucasus and about 100 units of military equipment were involved.
