ArmInfo. The Polish Embassy states that the parliamentary elections in Armenia were held in full compliance with democratic standards, as already noted by the ODIHR / OSCE observers, as well as a number of EU countries and the North Atlantic Alliance.
"By their choice, the citizens of Armenia supported the changes that occurred in the country as a result of the velvet revolution. Poland attaches great importance to relations with Armenia, and it intends to further intensify its multi-faceted interaction with it after the formation of the new government," the statement reads. Within the framework of cooperation Polish specialists will provide assistance in the process of harmonization of Armenia's legislation within EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The statement also stresses that Poland was the first country to ratify this agreement. "This is a new page in the contemporary history of Armenia, with which we congratulate the Armenian people. We hope that the upcoming changes will contribute to improving the well-being of the citizens of Armenia," the statement reads.
