ArmInfo. On December 12, Ameriabank opened a branch in Nor-Norq (address: Gayi Ave. 16) administrative district in the "Megamol Massif" shopping center, which is the bank's eleventh branch in Yerevan. At the opening ceremony, Ameriabank Retail Banking Director Arman Barseghyan informed that this branch will work in a special mode - 7 days a week from 10:30am to 9:15pm. Already six branches are operating in this mode, including the newly opened one, and all of them are located in the shopping centers of the capital, Barseghyan informed.
"Ameriabank introduced this branch operation format three years ago, considering the importance of customer service convenience. Thus, the bank provided citizens with the opportunity to use the necessary services in a quiet mode," he noted.
Answering the question of ArmInfo, he noted that 15 jobs were opened in the new branch. "Over time, when the branch gets its customer base, and this usually happens within 3-6 months, the number of employees will increase. I suppose that then the branch will employ up to 25 people," he said.
At the same time, A. Barseghyan stressed that beneficial terms are provided for some services to legal entities and individuals in the new branch. "For those legal entities that will open accounts at this branch, Ameria Online / Mobile Banking services will be provided with free annual service. Legal entities are also provided with a Business card, and a debit or credit card will be issued to two company executives (except Platinum or Infinity), in both cases without payment for the first year of service, individuals who open accounts in this branch will be provided with a debit or credit card (except Platinum or Infinity) without payment for the first year of service, as well as free use of Ameria Online / Mobile Banking services and telephone banking ", he explained
Speaking about further plans to expand the branch network, he noted that there is a need for this, despite the dynamic development of digital services. A. Barseghyan informed that in the beginning of 2019 a branch in Abovyan is expected to open, not excluding the possibility of opening three more divisions during the year.
Oleg Aghasyan, a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia, having welcomed the steps taken by banks to expand the branch network, stressed that this not only enables clients to use banking services, but also, thanks to competition, improves the quality of service. "Ameribank, being a universal financial structure, provides a wide range of services. I hope that with the opening of a new branch, Ameriabank will continue to expand the range of services provided. It is extremely important for us that the bank focuses on an individual customer service approach,"
For his part, the head of the Nor-Norq district Hayk Mherian, added: "With the opening of the Ameriabank branch, the Nor-Norq residents will no longer need to address other branches of the bank, since the necessary services can be obtained already at the Nor-Norq branch. The branch opening is also significant considering opening of new jobs. "
During the opening of the branch, the awards ceremony of the winners of the "What? Where? When?" contest previously announced by the Bank, took place. The winners - Hasmik Ghazaryan, Zhanna Vardanyan and Rafael Yeghian - received wireless devices for charging phones (power bank) as gifts.
