To note, lately serious passions are raging around the Yerevan Zoo. The bears unexpectedly attacked the female and bit the animal to death. Later information appeared about zebra poisoning. Despite all efforts, it was not possible to save the animal. Then a group of former and current employees of the zoo gathered for a protest rally demanding the resignation of director Ruben Khachatryan. According to them, the director of animals does not like animals, and the zoo for him is just a business. Khachatryan, on the other hand, called the accusations slander, and called on the city administration to begin inspections at the zoo.
