ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sarkissian will take part in the inauguration ceremony of newly-elected President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili. Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, quoted by the Echo of the Caucasus portal, stated this.
"According to today's data, we have a confirmation from the President of Armenia," the Georgian Foreign Minister noted, adding that a delegation from the Czech Republic headed by the Chairman of the Senate will arrive for the inauguration, the delegation from Serbia will be headed by the Chairman of Parliament. "The Lithuanian delegation headed by the chairman of the parliament will attend the inauguration, the Romanian delegation will be headed by the deputy prime minister, the Moldovan delegation will be led by the minister of foreign affairs, and the delegation of Turkmenistan will be headed by the minister of commerce," Zalkaliani said. He also added that the delegation from Saudi Arabia will be headed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Poland will be represented by the state minister and the head of the presidential administration, and other high-ranking officials of the country may join them. As for the delegation from Azerbaijan, the level of guests, according to the minister, has not yet been agreed.
According to the minister, invitations to the inauguration were sent to those countries with which Georgia has relations, to the embassies, which are accredited in the country. Also, according to the head of the foreign ministry, the invitation was sent to international organizations.
The inauguration of the fifth Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili will take place on December 16.
