On December 9, having fulfilled his civic duty, Aram Sargsyan told reporters that he had long dreamed of an environment in which people in a calm atmosphere, without any pressure, express their position by open and transparent voting. "For 18 years I fought for it, dreamed of free elections, of a just society. We will have a fair society, all other problems can be solved," the candidate said, adding that today the most important elections that will leave their mark on the present, so on the future of Armenia. Aram Sargsyan is also pleased with the election campaign, which was characterized by equal conditions for all parties and blocs. "The only drawback of the election campaign is a short period of time", the candidate said.
To note, Aram Sargsyan is the first number of the "We" bloc, which includes the party "Republic" and "Free Democrats." To note, snap parliamentary elections are being held in Armenia today, in which 9 parties and 2 blocs participate. The number of voters, according to the Central Election Commission, is 2,575,939 people. Today, starting from 8:00 am, 2010 polling stations have been opened all over the country, voting will end at 8:00 pm. Election are being observed by 8 international and 22 local organizations. Besides local media 32 foreign media are covering the elections. In addition, 77 citizens of foreign countries also observe the election process. 1200 local journalists representing 70 domestic media and 80 foreign journalists from 31 media cover the election process.
