Snap parliamentary elections are being held today in Armenia, in which 9 parties and 2 blocs participate: the "My step" bloc headed by Armenian Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party, Enlightened Armenia, Sasna Tsrer, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Orinats Yerkir, Citizen's Decision, National Progress, ''Christian-National Revival'' party and ''We'' bloc. Political parties need to overcome the 5% threshold and blocs-7% to enter parliament. If only two political forces overcome the threshold, the force which took the third place, regardless of the result, will also receive mandates, since the Constitution guarantees the presence in the representative body of at least three parties or blocs.
According to the "GALLUP International Association" poll for the Armenian parliamentary elections, the ruling "My Step" bloc with 69.4% of votes is the absolute favorite in the election race. The ruling bloc, as in the past, is followed by the party "Prosperous Armenia" with 5.7% votes. 3.8% of voters are ready to cast votes for the "Enlightened Armenia" party. This is followed by "Sasna Tsrer" with 1.4%, the Republican Party -1.5%, ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" - 1.2%, "We" bloc -0.8%, "Orinats Yerkir" -0.4%, . According to the survey, 75.5% of the respondents will participate in the elections, 14.6% are more likely to participate, 2.7% are more likely not to participate, but 5.7% definitely do not intend to participate. The polling error is 3%.
