ArmInfo.The detection of the internationally wanted nephew of the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan Narek Sargsyan, in Prague was the result of effective cooperation between the Armenian Police and Interpol, the head of the RA Police Valery Osipyan told reporters on December 9, after the fulfillment of his civic duty at a polling station.
According to him, Narek Sargsyan has not yet been extradited to Armenia, the country's general prosecutor's office deals with the issue. The necessary documents should be collected, after which extradition may take place.
To recall, the Armenian Police in cooperation with Interpol and foreign colleagues on December 6 in Prague detected the nephew of the third president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan Narek Sargsyan, the son of Alexander (Sashik) Sargsyan, who is in the international search. When detected, he had a fake passport of a Guatemalan citizen in the name of Franklin Gonzales. The police appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office to organize the extradition process of Sargsyan.
To note, Sargsyan is accused of illegally acquiring, storing, carrying, transporting or selling weapons and ammunition, as well as in the illegal acquisition, storage, use and sale of drugs and narcotic drugs.
