ArmInfo.Early elections to the National Assembly of Armenia are being held normally. This was announced on December 9 at a briefing at the Central Election Commission (CEC) by the head of the department Tigran Mukuchyan.
According to him, the CEC every three hours will inform the public about the electoral process, and from midnight will begin counting the vote. The lists of voters included 2575 939 people. 465 people by electronic voting have already managed to fulfill their civic duty, having voted between November 30 and December 2. The results of the electronic voting, Tigran Mukuchyan continued, will also be summarized late today. In total, 9 political parties and 2 blocs participate in the voting. 12 people are running for parliament from national minorities. Of the 2010 polling stations, 12 have been opened in penal institutions. Of the 20090 representatives of polling stations, 94 did not show up. In total, each polling station was formed of 10 people - the chairman of the polling station, his deputies and members. All election centers are provided with technical equipment. According to the current situation, there is a problem with 5 technical means. The problem is solved promptly.
In total, the election process, as noted by the CEC chairman, is observed by 505 international observers from 8 international organizations and 17,813 local observers from 22 public organizations. In addition, 77 citizens of foreign countries also observe the election process. The election process is covered by 1200 local journalists representing 70 domestic media and 80 foreign journalists from 31 media.
