ArmInfo.Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia met with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
According to the source, the parties discussed a number of issues related to both cooperation within the OSCE, and the problems facing the organization, as well as ways to solve them.
The parties also touched upon domestic political events in Armenia. The Armenian Foreign Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the Armenian government to hold free and fair elections.
The interlocutors also touched upon the negotiation process on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. In particular, the parties touched upon the meeting held yesterday with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, and also discussed a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the heads of delegations of the OSCE co-chair countries.
Mnatsakanyan also met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar. Touching on the Karabakh conflict,the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia noted that the status and security of Artsakh are priorities for Armenia, stressing the importance of the decisive vote of the Artsakh Republic in the settlement process.
Mnatsakanyan noted that the Armenian side calls on international partners to refrain from actions that may contribute to increased instability in the region
