ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan flew to St. Petersburg at night to attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
The meeting will take place on December 6. To note, in the meeting will discussed a coordinated policy to regulate the Internet markets, the development of network technologies, the formation of common markets for oil, gas and petroleum products. The leaders will hear a report by the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the implementation of the digital agenda of the EAEU until 2025, which envisages the implementation of a coherent policy in the field of regulation of the Internet market and the development of network technologies. The heads of the EAEU member states will submit a program for the formation of common oil and gas markets by 2025 prepared by the Eurasian Commission.
To recall, on December 6, the CSTO meeting was also to take place. However, on December 2, Nikol Pashinyan said that during a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed not to hold a summit because of the current situation, and then discuss the solutions in working order. Pashinyan noted that he agreed, because he believes that it is right to solve such issues in working order. Meanwhile, on December 4, in a conversation with journalists, presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that the CSTO summit in St. Petersburg was canceled at the request of the Armenian side, given the upcoming elections.
