ArmInfo. In the spring of 2019, a talking textbook designed with the use of state-of-the-art technologies will be introduced in Armenia for the first time. This was reported to journalists on December 5by acting Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan.
According to the Acting Armenian Minister of Education, children use smartphones too much, and to make these technologies more useful, Armenian textbooks will speak to them. With their help, the materials will be presented more interestingly. "Our children, for example, will be able to very vividly see the eclipse of the sun or participants in hikes, expeditions will be able to tell about them, etc. Few countries in the world use this technology," he noted.
New technology in the learning process will be introduced in spring. Most likely a textbook on physics will be the pilot one. There will be animated and explanatory texts. The teacher will play his/her role, and these texts - their own. Even if the student does not have a smartphone, he /she will still be able to use this textbook.
Yesterday RA Acting Minister of Education Arayik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page, said that textbooks in Armenian schools would soon "talk" with students. Arayik Harutyunyan in the framework of the election campaign publishing posters with his image used new technologies, in particular, the development of the Armenian startup ARLOOPA on augmented reality. If you download the similarly- named application and direct a smartphone to the Minister's photo, it will "come to life" in the phone and start talking. "According to the information I received, speaking propaganda materials interested the public, this is a new revolution in the press. From now on, our pupils' books in schools will also talk - theorems will tell about ways to prove them, stars will tell about themselves, and warlords will tell about their campaigns", Harutyunyan said.
