ArmInfo. Cooperation between Armenia and the European Union in Brussels was discussed by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of preparation for the upcoming elections in Armenia to be held on December 9, stressing the importance of their inclusiveness, transparency and legitimacy.
The parties also discussed the process of implementing the Comprehensive and Deep Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU. It was stressed that the full implementation of the document will contribute to the implementation of reforms in Armenia. The participants of the meeting stressed that they are looking forward to holding a number of expert meetings before the next EU-Armenia Partnership Council.
The parties also discussed the prospects for resolving the Karabakh conflict in accordance with the norms of international law. They exchanged views on regional processes, in particular, the Syrian conflict and the Iranian nuclear issue.
