ArmInfo. The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia refutes the information spread in the media that Armenian drivers are in a traffic jam on the Georgian-Russian border at the entrance to the Upper Lars checkpoint for 3-4 days.
"We contacted the checkpoints of the Georgian and Russian sides. The Georgian side stressed that there were no traffic jams or traffic blocks not only today, but on the other days too. The Russian side informed that there are jams of trucks. They arose in the second half November 11. The information that the Armenian drivers are on the border for 3-4 days is not true, "stressed the Armenian Embassy in Georgia.
Earlier, there was information in the media that since November 11, there have been numerous calls from drivers that huge traffic jams of several kilometers have formed on the stretch from Upper Lars to the Russian border. "Drivers complain that they have been in an uncertain situation for 3-4 days, they don't know what to do, who to contact on this matter. We even need food. We are sure that the Russian side is to blame for all this, and from the Armenian side we do not receive any help, we do not have any guarantees",the truck drivers media sources quotes
