ArmInfo.The condition of all the military personnel injured in an accident on the Vorotan-Khndzoretsk highway and hospitalized at the Zangezur military hospital is assessed by doctors as satisfactory. This was reported to ArmInfo by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The ministry reported that 6 servicemen received various fractures, two of them are planned to be transferred to the Central Garrison military hospital.
The Ministry of Defense also reported that Acting Defense Minister David Tonoyan expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the conscripts who died as a result of the accident. Tonoyan stressed that the investigation is underway and, according to preliminary data, gross technical and organizational omissions have caused the tragedy. However, he assured that the perpetrators will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
To note, the Defense Ministry truck got into an accident on 39 km of the Goris-Kubatly highway around 12 noon on November 7. As a result of an accident, 4 servicemen died: Hayrapet Volodyevich Nairian (born in 1998), Hrant Araikovich Gasparyan (born in 1998), Edgar Armenovich Noanyan (born in 1998), David Beniaminovich Melkonyan (Born in 1998), several were injured. At the time of the accident, there were 21 servicemen in the car, of which 19 were in the back. 17 soldiers out of the 21st were not in danger, 8 were injured. The injured were hospitalized at the Goris Medical Center and Sisian Hospital.
