ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) resumed cooperation with one of the leading companies in Armenia - CJSC "Gazprom Armenia". This was reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the Bank.
According to the source, VTB Bank (Armenia) and Gazprom Armenia intend to create a platform to further strengthen their relations, implement projects aimed at the dynamic development of the country's energy industry.
"Both sides expressed their willingness to continue relations in the long term and jointly develop and implement financial instruments that will ensure maximum efficiency of the partnership", the statement reads.
To note, Gazprom Armenia CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom. The main activity is the supply and sale of natural gas in the domestic market of Armenia. The structure of the Company includes 15 branches on gasification and gas supply, organized on a territorial basis, a branch of the Engineering Center, 5 subsidiaries, and "Hrazdan-5" institution. The strategic goal of Gazprom Armenia CJSC is to set up a gas energy company of regional significance, ensuring active participation in energy projects both in the domestic and foreign markets. According to the results of the 9 months of 2018, Gazprom Armenia takes the 2nd place in the list of major taxpayers of Armenia, having paid 30.4 billion drams to the state budget.
To recall, VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became a member of the international financial group VTB in April 2004. Currently, the second largest in Russia, PJSC "Bank VTB" owns 100% of VTB Bank (Armenia) shares.
