ArmInfo. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia David Ananyan and Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Georgy Saganelidze (George Saganelidze) discussed a wide range of issues relating to tax and customs regulation in two countries, the press service of the Armenian SRC reported.
In particular, according to the report, in the context of increasing the capacity of the Upper Lars checkpoint, the parties discussed the possibility of building 6 tunnels. The parties also touched upon the speedy signing of the protocol "On the exchange of advance information on goods and vehicles between the Armenian State Treasury Group and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia."
"The Armenian side expressed interest in participating in design works for the construction of tunnels with the aim of providing favorable conditions for economic entities from Armenia. It was agreed to enhance cooperation between the tax and customs services of the two countries," the statement said.
