ArmInfo. The Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia, taking into account some shortcomings of the budget programs, this year carried out the redistribution of state funds, thereby adding funding for the most priority areas of medical care.
As the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare informs, in particular, 416.3 million AMD were additionally sent for heart surgery; 200 million AMD for oncology and hematology services, 574.8 million AMD for pediatric care, and 120 million AMD for emergency medical care.
For the first time in the course of the redistribution, a regional leveling approach was also applied, taking into account the number of beneficiaries in a given locality. Using these mechanisms, by 2018, 804.8 million AMD were added to this amount of regional organizations.
In 2018, the healthcare sector allocated 81.2 billion from the state budget. Future budget revenues will be aimed at achieving priority goals, with the clear goal of providing new high-quality medical services to the population, leveling and making innovative decisions and implementing priorities.
