ArmInfo. It is necessary to gradually, step by step, move towards limiting the activities and closing bookmaker offices in Armenia. About this on October 24 from the rostrum of the parliament said the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
"Women in Kapan show us the bookmakers and ask them to close, noting that their husbands go to the bookmakers immediately after receiving the salary, and only then come home. In a country with such a level of poverty, too many people make bets in the hope of good luck , including from hopelessness, " Pashinyan said.
The Acting Prime Minister noted that tough steps should be taken in this area. Namely, to strictly limit advertising, substantially change the tax regime and, step by step, move towards limiting and closing bookmakers.
At the same time, Pashinyan noted that, in the opinion of specialists, closing of bookmaker offices is dangerous, as this can lead to serious shocks. "Since at the moment we are seeing an increase in real estate prices, if all the bookmakers are immediately closed, this will lead to the release of tens of thousands of premises and a collapse in prices", the Acting the Prime Minister stressed.
