On October 23, Bulgaria's Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Vulchev and Armenian Ambassador to Bulgaria Armen Sarkissian signed a document on the "Program of Cooperation between the Governments of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Bulgaria in the Field of Education and Science for 2018-2022". According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the program provides for the provision of 4 mutual scholarships each year to obtain a bachelor's and master's degree at universities in Armenia and Bulgaria. The program also involves the exchange of scientists, teachers and specialists between educational institutions of the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of education and science, the organization of reciprocal visits at both expert and high levels, as well as the need to modernize the existing legal framework.
